The Sherman-based Emerson Process Management facility will soon be hiring 30 new employees and bringing in $500,000 in new equipment. Because of that investment, the Sherman Economic Development Corp.’s board of directors recently approved a $150,000 grant for the company.
“We have a relatively new Fisher product that will be relocating from an existing facility that is a better business fit with the control valve family that we currently produce in our Sherman facility,” Emerson Plant Manager Mark Anderson said of the company’s Fisher line of products. “The processes for the product will involve relocating lathes and ball grinding equipment that are used in the manufacturing process.”
